Dear Friends,
Its unfotunate that most of us have accepted the fact that we must
wait for 5 years irrespective of the inefficient /corrupt administration.
Whats the gurantee that party /person who comes next will do better? Country has seen a few changes of the govts at the centre & plenty in the states since independence.
People in power & bureaucrats can join hands with corporates to fleece the common man . Are the laws for Aam Aadmi only? A poor man who earns Rs 10,000 PM & is handed over a bill of 7000, how will he & his family survive. No one is supporting breaking of the laws of the land .
It was a symbolic gesture to make the Administratin realize the difficulty of common man in the street .
When ever Anna & party raised any query, politicians had one answer. ' We have been elected by the voters to be their rep . You also fight elections , get elected first & then pass Jan Lokpal "
Arvind Kejriwal & his Team IAC (India Against Corruption) were left with no choice but to get into politics .
Hope & pray that Public gives IAC their whole hearted support & it does not remain limited to a small intelligentia who are on the internet.
Regards
Prem

I disagree. Even, Gandhi had to break the law and led Namak and other satyagrahs and only after that, India achieved freedom. For such initiative, one need 'Kaleja'.

N.SVenkataramanM 60/1, 4th cross street,Besant Nagar,Chennai-90ToRTI GroupSir,It is sad to see the headline news in several newspapers and TV media terming Kejriwal restoring snapped power in Delhi as an act of satyagraha.. It is an insult to Gandhiji's concept of satyagraha. This appears to be a political showmanship by Kejriwal and the media is obliging him for whatever reasons. If the objective were to force the Delhi government to roll back power and water tariffs, it should be made an election issue and the Delhi government should be unseated democratically.Encouragement to law breaking activity will lead to chaos and anarchy. The media should be more circumspect and refrain from encouraging such law breaking activities. If it is viewed that such law breaking activity is satyagraha and media want to project such acts, then media will not have enough space , since hundreds of such acts are happening in this country every day. One should not be allowed to become a national hero simply by breaking law.Further, if the social activists would like to defeat corruption and ensure fair governance, they should keep in mind Mahatama Gandhi's philosophy that means should justify the ends. Creating law and order situation in the name of fighting for public cause will be proved to be counter productive and against the national interest.ThanksN.S.VenkataramanTrusteeNandini voice for The DeprivedChennai
