1) The issue is not IF I am to be selected as an Information
Commissioner, but WHY/HOW "Mr.X" has been selected as an IC. A few of
us who applied did so to "test" the process and not because we need
the money, or the free house or the "lal-batti" etc
2) The word "beg" as I have used it simply means "to ask EARNESTLY". I
am not a beggar nor do I ask for anything to be granted as a favour.
It is to my advantage that my paternal grandfather was a very well
known professor of English, so I know the language as well as most
babus do.
3) By using "Respected Sir" I am acknowledging that the Secretary DoPT
has achieved the highest rank of his profession. There is nothing
wrong with it.
4) You are not a member of the HJ google group. We are very particular
about who we admit as members here, and we try to keep the trash out.
5) You are probably a member of the [.RTI.] network which distributes
RTI related emails, so that persons like you can aspire to be a member
of HJ@GG.
6) I wish you all success in your quest to become President of India.
7) As a patriot, the English word "beggar" is surely derived from the
Hindustani "be-ghar" or homeless person who lives on the streets. "If
wishes were horses then beggars would ride."
