As usual the gang of RTI h****is who got Shailesh Gandhi appointed as Information Commissioner via the NAC route, are solely responsible for this disaster.

Shailesh Gandhi has made a string of errors in his order. I don't wish to speculate here whether this was due to his incompetence or his arrogance. His first "mistake" was not to see that the applicant was using RTI in a highly irresponsible manner to settle his service issues and had set out to provoke the judiciary. Like Napoleon he failed to see the mucky terrain that was Waterloo.

Actually, there are some of use who are convinced that Shailesh Gandhi was deliberately made an IC to ensure that RTI would be destroyed by the string of pathetically reasoned orders he has passed during his tenure. (BTW, one swallow does not a summer make).  It was the same gang who got Wajahat Habibullah appointed as India's first CIC and who poisoned the "judiciary under RTI" well in Manish Khanna. Had AN Tiwari been our first CIC things would have been different.
