Re: [IAC#RG] In re: A two minute programme against violence

Dear Mr. Mahapatra,

With reference to your mail of July 2, I share your thoughts and support your steps to bring peace and harmony to the society and expose all those who are trying to divide the society and condemn human rights.  All the best!

The commonality is "Abjure" violence. Let us demonstrate just that.

Let me clarify that the foundation of Build India Group is based on Article 51 A of the Constitution. Pledge in 15 languages as part of the exercise propounded by the Build India Group is to promote sense of fundamental duties among  the students and now the country has got a statutory day for the citizens to affirm their commitment to the country.

Aikyataan is a step forward in that direction.

Thanks for the timely clarification.

It was the socialist Russian revolution which declared that parasites have no place in society - "he who does not work shall not eat" and it was to defend against such parasites that fundamental duties were inserted into the Constitution via the notorious Emergency.amendments of 1976.
  • to defend the country and render national service when called upon to do so
  • to safeguard public property and to abjure violence
IAC being a socialist organisation of course respects the fundamental duties and "abjures" violence in its manifesto :-)

The IAC reaffirms its strict adherence to those secular, socialist and liberal values such as are enshrined in the Constitution of India. The IAC while rejecting 'non-violence', 'Gandhigiri' and 'satyagraha' as the hypocrisy of Corruption's minions, however, abjures ( as being 'Swaraj' and the humility of the strong ) the use of violence and force of arms in the first instance.

I must dispel that the Two minute program against violence has anything to do with Gandhism. It is just a mass communication to unite people and make them think about their fundamental duties.

I too reject Gandhi's concept of violence.

For the sake of justice i.e. Dharma (it is not religion), violence is justified.

Moreover any selective outrage on violence is political and condemn-able.

we should condemn all violence whether it is toward hindu or muslim or animal.

To dub whole country as lynchistan because one muslim has been killed, is wrong.

Dear Adv. Mahapatra

The IAC and HRA movements are unable to reject violence as it is part of our Dharma, our IAC manifesto and now part of our national civic obligation/s. Our movements are not Gandhian movements and neither do we emulate Jesus Christ to turn the other cheek when poked.

Nonetheless, we are circulating your email to our members as requested.

  • Dear Sir/Madam,
    >
    >With a view to raising voice in unison against violence, AIKYATAAN (Symphony of Harmony) is a two minute rendition from our respective homes exactly at 10 AM on July 9, 2019. At this appointed time you may create a symphony with the help of any musical instrument or even a utensil to symbolically give a declaration that "Delhi rejects violence". It should be done by all family members in unison.

    >Aikyataan simpler, easy and not time-taking. A two minute rendition may give a us a model programme against violence in any form. Your little cooperation may help build up a nation wide campaign on November 26, 2017 when the country celebrates Constitution Day.
