You have a very valid academic query when you ask "The pay of defence forces in 7th pay commission is lower than the police. So why should the defences forces lay down lives"

I believe you should pose this query directly to Hon'ble PM and Hon'ble RM and also ask them to consider that more workers (working at pitiable rates) die (mostly unreported) in the coal mines of India (India's most dangerous job) in a month than the armed forces lose in a year.

Your query also reminds me of the famous Indian mercenary Col. James Skinner (@ Nasiuddindaulah  James Skinner Bahadur Ghalib Jung) and his contributions to creating the India whose territories certain traitors in high places are frittering away.
