[HumJanenge] Ex CIC WH for VP ?

Loaded Entry

Once they get a sense of a ratrace for a post, the seasoned Congress leader has a knack for floating names in the course. You never know whether these are really meant to win the race or just to sabotage some other aspirants. So, we leave it to you to figure out in which category the Congress camp has floated its latest vice-presidential candidate's name, in the form of Wajahat Habibullah, the serving chairman of the national minorities' commission. As far as the credentials of this polished retired IAS officer from J&K cadre are concerned, they are quite impressive. Hailing from an upper class and political family of UP, Habibullah's mother was a Congress leader close to Indira Gandhi. Having served as a joint secretary in Rajiv Gandhi's PMO, he has been in the good books of 10, Janpath, and has had a string of high-profile post-retirement jobs under the UPA. Now, we would rather wait and watch whether he will ultimately make it to the vice-president's post, but you can tell us who among the Presidential aspirants will lose maximum sleep over this vice-presidential floating!
