AFAIK their Association only had men in it.

At the time India already had Act 10 of 1897 clause 13 of which read as follows

"In all Acts and Regulations, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context, words imputing the masculine gender shall be taken to include females, and words in the singular shall include the plural, and vice-versa"

The important part is "and vice versa".

Is there anything else needing improvement in Shri Azad's motto.
