Dear Mr. Deputy CM,

In response to your invitation to applications/complaints on your E-mail Id, I hereby avail this opportunity of drawing your attention to some problems of common man which should be enough to deflate your tall boastings of good governance and slogans of 'Raj nahi Seva' in the state. Though there are countless problems for the people, the below mentioned a few should be enough to show you the mirror:

1.            Electricity Bills:

(i)            The last date for payment of bills through cheques is shorter than that by the DD and in cash.  The payment of bills above Rs. 5000/- is not accepted in cash though the lowering purchase value of rupee amply shows that Rs. 5000/- is very meager amount and most of the consumers receive bill exceeding this amount.  The excuse taken by the PSPCL staff is the security threat to cash. This excuse adequately exposes your law & order situation in the state.  Then the Bills are in horrible condition. The entries of charges imposed do not match with their respective heads. Consequently, one cannot make out anything from these bills. Completely jumbled up bills only are tools of exploitation of consumers. Additionally, the contents on these bills disappear after very short period because of the low quality temporary ink. This is solely with the ulterior motive of looting innocent people through crook ways so that one may not be able to read a bill.

(ii)            Though the power tariff hike surreptitiously for electricity is a very routine phenomenon, yet people are made to face long power cuts. This falsifies all your assurances give to people of Punjab in recent Assembly elections to make the state 'a power surplus state'.

2.   Parking Mafia:
The parking mafia in the whole state of Punjab is working fearlessly, and certainly not without the patronization of political bosses. On almost every parking stand, much higher rates are charged than the prescribed one. Anyone objecting to that is abused, harassed and beaten mercilessly. The administrative officials are either hands in gloves with the parking mafia or they are helpless in front of political leaders who are suspectedly silent partners in those parking contracts. For example, in multi level parking in Mini secretariat, Ludhiana, the goons are so bold that they openly charge extra and put down any resistance by the stand users mercilessly. The bouncers of the contractor deployed there beat a vehicle owner mercilessly and broke his one rib on 18.6.14. The DC, Ludhiana, was reported the whole incident then & there, but no action is yet visible.  Extra charging there is continuing unabated.

3.     High Security Number Plates:
Applying for High Security Number Plates (HSNPs) for old vehicles or getting fitted those plates on new/old vehicles is not an easy task. The work of preparing HSNPs for old or new vehicles is outsourced to a company Agros Impex(I) Pvt. Ltd., Kharar, Dist. Mohali, Punjab - 140301. It is the bounden duty of this company to create adequate infrastructure for the work and provide hassle free service to the applicants, but the long queues for this purpose are the self evident indicators of the deficiency in service due to inadequate infrastructure and consequent corruption there. Applying for a new HSNP and getting it fitted on one' vehicle is considered a very big achievement. News on this issue keep appearing in the media, but the government has intentionally closed its ears & eyes to this grave problem of people.

Dear Sir, the above mentioned issues are just a few of the numerous one that torment people one way or the other. Land mafia, sand mafia, transport mafia, cable mafia and what not have taken the whole state in their grip, and people are reeling under corruption, inflation and your misrule. Despite all this you feel proud in boasting about your good governance. People certainly want to get rid of this type of 'Raj' as well as 'Seva'.
A word of acknowledgement shall be appreciated.

Dear Mr.. N.S. Venkataraman ji  :

While, it is ansolutely fair to Question Probity of Judges and or of those High Officials occupying the
Top Sensitive Seats of Power But Why only where one would pick and Choose   Why not everywhere ?

Do we ever Question Who PM visited Who and Who meets  PM during his official foreign visits and What
and What was Discussed ? Who proposed Agenda of Meetings and What points and topics were concluded ?
What and What wa reported and what and what Hidden from public view  ? and WHY ?

Do the citizens of this country ever get to know Who constitutes NSA,  National andState, Parliamentary and other important empowered committees Who constitutes the Teams to select PMO Staff and what remains the standard criteria of Selection ? Do influence play a part and if so ? What are those influences from behind the curtain ?

There are a Thusand such critical Questions that we never bother to ask and even if one would Dare to ask :   Prompt comes a Suggestion for Society to keep Harping on RTI TOY given to the people as most ever Deceptive ploy  JHUNJHUNA   !

In my view, '' Transparency or ' Fair play '  are just the words, irrespective of Any Government.

[IAC#RG] Water woes in the INDIAN RAILWAYS

Friends,

I do recall that some years back,  a senior official from the Mechanical / Engineering department had successfully demonstrated a simple filter in Railway stations using coconut coir filters, and no machinery.   He was known to my father Shri Vag Umanath Shenai, Chief Signals & Telecommunication Engineer, Indian Railways.

By retrofitting BIOSANITIZER (TM),  enhanced purification becomes possible.

There are three simple tests to evaluate the water quality without a laboratory.

1. It should not corrode 'temple' copper  99% pure.

2. It should not create slime in 24-28 hours inside the container in which it is stored.

3. It should not breed biting mosquitoes in 15 days + in an open bucket.

I have demonstrated turning toilet water into potable water which does not corrode iron using BIOSANITIZER.

The water 'industry' is believed to be growing in India at U.S. $ 2 Billion, if not more.

Also demonstrated was sewage treatment at Nashik Municipal Corporation, for 120 Million Litres per day, which blended with untreated drain water of similar volumes, yet when water was sampled just 6 Kms downstream in the GODAVARI, it was found to be better than the IS specification for drinking water, by an Internationally Accredited Laboratory.

The electro-mechanical aerators were switched off and it was found to enhance the Eco processes.

So energy and maintenance costs savings were also demonstrated.

No one has cost effective remedy to tackle salts in the water except this breakthrough INDIAN Eco Technology.

I know about the Railway issues because I was born in a RAILWAY family.

Commercialisation of each and every aspect of services is wrecking safety and satisfaction to passengers, although it is done using these words.

We must not blindly follow primitive Western Science and its 'industrial' solutions because they do not deliver, as the man made technologies have limitations.

The plastic bottles introduce their own toxicity and create an environmental hazard.

I observe that sanity is being lost and we are blindly following norms & rules created by 'industry' to create business for itself.

We need to rise above such perverted pathways.

Ecological regards,

Shantharam Shenai

Sir,

BY EMAIL

Please find below the trail emails concerning my Public Grievance (submitted in larger public interest) sent to a senior officers under / attached to your Ministry, which is being ignored.

It needs to be urgently explained / clarified to the public at large why the prescribed codes for providing essential passenger amenities such as free drinking water are being openly flouted and your Ministry's regulatory officers are colluding with the operators to permit it.

I am further constrained to bring to your notice the willful malfeasance in office of your Ministry's Joint Secretary & Public Grievance Officer who has failed to register (within 3 days as prescribed by "Manual of Office Procedure") my public grievance and provide me the CPGRAMS number to enable it to be tracked and monitored.

The said grievance was submitted in larger public interest of lakhs of affected passengers and the very least that was expected is that it would be acknowledged and duly diarised in the CPGRAMS system. Instead the operators are being allowed to carry on making outrageous profits  by only forcefully selling their artificially bottled water at hugely inflated rates by denying passengers/citizens the right to potable water in drinking fountains as prescribed.

Accordingly, the India Against Corruption jan andolan, has reason to believe that the strange inaction of your Ministry is for corrupt reasons and that there is a syndicate of senior officers under/attached to your Ministry, who are part of this water mafia, and who even deny drinking water to juveniles in extreme distress.

Accordingly, India Against Corruption requests you to kindly ensure that the CPGRAMS ID evidencing registration of my public grievance is issued immediately as prescribed, and that my grievance is resolved forthwith so that passengers get free drinking water without any further delay.

Subject: Demand Letter seeking effective curbs on crimes against women and burgeoning illegal trade of drugs and vulgarity; and invitation for an Open Debate at Constitution Club, New Delhi
You must be aware that illegal/legal trade of different addictions (drugs, liquor, tobacco and others) and vulgarity or nudity through films, electronic and print media or websites is taking place (or being calculatedly run) by Indian or foreign individuals/organisations in our country. The trade has assumed the gigantic form. It is no more a secrete now that a number of market forces are calculatedly trying to damage the intelligence of your youth, family institution and the social fabric. This is a deep-rooted conspiracy causing huge damage to the nation. During the last a few years not only different Commissions, Committees or social organisations, but also the Supreme Court has advised to curb all those who are running or expanding this illegal trade. The efforts in this direction on the part of the government are almost nil and the society is fast degrading.
Armed with the research and studies conducted by Maulik Bharat Trust and hundreds of our associated organisations we jointly place the following demands before the government:
1.      The production and sell of any kinds of drug should be made fully transparent and the transaction should be allowed only through debit/credit cards.
2.      An effective mechanism for putting a control/ban on addictions should be ensured by bringing all the laws related to different addictions in the Concurrent List.
3.      An effective mechanism with exemplary action should be evolved and implemented punishing all those who are involved in production or trade of different illegal drugs.
4.      An extensive campaign be conducted in all educational and health institutions to educate the people about the harms of the drugs.
5.      All Ministries in coordination with other ministries should formulate and implement a collective action plan so that the Indian and Constitutional values could be saved.
6.      A campaign should be launched to identity and take strict action against all those government officials who due to any reason ignore the activities of the people involved in illegal trade of production, distribution or sell of the drugs.
7.      The vulgar material damaging the Indian cultural ethos through films, advertisements, television, print media and any other medium of communication should be banned forthwith. Definition of vulgarity should be made clear. Apart from it, the producers, directors, photographers and artists involved in any kind of nude/vulgar scene, photo, painting or business should be banned and action should be taken against them.
8.      The porn websites being made available in India through foreign websites should be blocked immediately as has been done by China. All internet service providers should be forced to set up their servers in our country.
9.      India should withdraw its permission granted through the United Nations Organisations to allow porn sites in India.
10.  All steps, which protect the dignity of women and provide healthy atmosphere to children and adolescents for development should be taken.
In order to understand the policies and intention of the government in this regard Maulik Bharat has decided to organise on Open Debate at Constitution Club, Rafi Marg, New Delhi, on September 27 at 10 am. You are requested to kindly attend the function and provide your valuable suggestions.
Please provide your written consent to support our initiative and sanction for attending the function so that we can make proper arrangements.

Re: [IAC#RG] Fwd: An appeal and Invitation from Maulik Bharat and associate organisation (Hindi & English)

Dear Anuj,

I am a senior journalist based in Gujarat and known for my most forth right views againgst glorification of sex in public domaim and the practice of making money by selling sex which is corrupting the entire nation. I feel there is a fire need for all good people to unite against this in the nation and fight through constitutional means. One of our targets in this constitutional fight should be Mahesh Bhat who has crossed all possible limits by introducing porn actress Sunny Leon in indian films and who has played the ugliest part in corrupting the youth by glorifying sex in public domain. I had writen a blog on this which will forward to you shortly.  I also spoke about it to I and B Minister Prakash Javdekar recently.

I would like to speak to you on this. Pl email your phone no.

Let this communication remain between us only as I would like to play an informal role at this stage by helping this cause with ideas.

Thanks

Uday Mahurkar
