Unconfirmed reports suggest that Leader of Opposition has claimed that she was wrongly informed that Satyanand Misra was the seniormost Information Commission at CIC whereas in fact A.Dixit is the seniormost member after CIC A.N. Tiwary.
Informed sources say that resume of Ms Dixit, the widow of late National Security Adviser J.N.Dixit, was not even put up to the selection committee, which included Ms Swaraj, for consideration. It is not known if this was linked to unconfirmed reports of a complaint filed to President of India on an enquiry report conducted by I.C. Dixit's registry office last year.
IC Annapurna Dixit was widely tipped to be the next Chief Information Commissioner of India and the first woman to occupy the post.
