Non-filling of existing vacant posts of CIC and SICs, appointment of
only buraeucrats as Information Commissioners in Karnataka in
particular and also other State and the Central Governments in general
and the lack of legal knowledge and experience amongst majority of
existing Information Commissions and the lack of transparency,
openness and accountability in the appointments point a finger at
Chief Ministers and the Prime Miniter how casual they are in their
involvement in the land mark enactment which was passed by the
Parliament. Will there be any change in their mind set at least after
U.S President making a reference to the importance of RTI.
