Re: [IAC#RG] caring for girls and women

I agree with Robin in the mail below...... there are enough laws against crime, but lack of implementation of the laws is what creates fearlessness in criminals.

As long as people live in large communities and there is disparity among them, there will be people attracted towards shortcuts and thus crime. What can stop crime is the fear of prosecution and loss of even what you had before the crime.

A simple basic example of traffic lights. Mostly you find motorist speeding past red signals, pushing beyond the zebra crossing, bullying vehicles in front to inch forward etc.....

BUT, If there is a traffic police at the signal, all cars and bikes will halt at the traffic junction, no honking, no bullying no speeeding past - all well behaved motorist. because the fear of prosecution is very real and clear, so the advantage of jumping the light is negated by the presecution of the crime.

law was always there, if implementation is fair, transparent honest and guaranteed, crime is reduced to a lrge extent.

India should root our CORRUPTION and seek IMPLEMENTATION of its laws.

Indian.

Dear sangeetha

I like the 2 point on the last part of your mail  "2. STOP FUNDING AND DONATING TO BIG NGO'S LIKE CRY FOR REHBILITATING THESE GIRLS BECAUSE THIS KEEPS THE MONEY IN CIRCULATION FOR WRONG PURPOSES.INFACT CRY NOG SEND YOUNG GIRLS DOOR TO DOOR TO COLLECT MONEY FOR THE NGO EXPOSING THESE GIRLS TO DANGER OF BEING RAPED"

i do not know about this so called NGO CRY it may be true with other NGOs in the same field also.

but in my point creating law after law is not going to stop crime. in my personal point of view there is enough law to punish any crime against men or women or in general any human being. The problem is at the implementation point.

I would like to bring your notice to one SC judgement  it says" that the person who is bringing an accident victim to hospital may not reveal his identity to any of them and it is for the hospital to inform the police." this judgement has changed a lot the way people behave in an accident scene.

some just don,t help just keep themselves away from the police and court tussle. some are ready but get fed up by the non ending trials. so if there is a situation in which the individuals who are trying to help the implementation of law will not suffer mentally or financially or socially. then there will be a change. because the number of individuals with goodness in heart is still more. and they will come out to help. and that help will be faster and more effective than a police or law enforcing agency and will be in time stop a crime.

WHY I SHARED THIS LAW POSITION WITH YOU ALL-----POINT I WISH TO MAKE

1.GB ROADS are places where women/young girls are tortured—CAN ANYONE DENY---NO

2. IS THERE NO LAW------NO---------Law is in place and clear --- any  knowingly allows any other person to use such premises as brothel –imprisonment two years

3. How many of the owners are accused, tried and punished under this section 2 of this Act till date.

4. Has Govt appointed trafficking police officer in these area-----if YES---- then what are they doing?

5. IF THE LAW IS IMPLIMENTED CAN AREAS LIKE GB ROAD EXIST---NO

6.ORGANISATIONS AS HUGE AS CRY COLLECT MONEY FROM PUBLIC FOR THESE GIRLS TO REHABILITATE THEM ------------WILL THAT MONEY BE REQUIRED IF THERE ARE NO SUCH AREAS.

7.DO WE NEED MONEY TO CLOSE THESE AREAS-------NO

THEN WHY DONT EVERYONE ASK GOVT (WHO EVER IS IN POWER) TO IMPLIMENT THIS LAW

OR

SCRAP THIS LAW AND MAKE PROSTITUTIONS LEGAL SO THAT THESE POOR GIRLS AT LEAST HAVE SOME SECURITY IN LIFE AND HAVE LEGAL RIGHTS.

NOW YOU ALL KNOW THE LEGAL POSITION------------------ITS TIME FOR YOU AND NGO'S LIKE CRY TO START THINKING AND ACT --------------HOW?

1. FILE FIR AGAINST THESE OWNERS!

2. STOP FUNDING AND DONATING TO BIG NGO'S LIKE CRY FOR REHBILITATING THESE GIRLS BECAUSE THIS KEEPS THE MONEY IN CIRCULATION FOR WRONG PURPOSES.INFACT CRY NOG SEND YOUNG GIRLS DOOR TO DOOR TO COLLECT MONEY FOR THE NGO EXPOSING THESE GIRLS TO DANGER OF BEING RAPED.
