RE: [IAC++] [media_monitor5] Re: Rape in Delhi – All round corruption and lack of values could be the cause

People have seen the photo opportunity of Sonia G who came out of her mansion to meet the students,
protestors and citizens to express her hope that her filthy corrupt administration will certainly deliver
some justice but couldn't say what? That is what flashing over & over on the NDTV coverage of the Delhi
protestors. The cruel irony is clear to many of us but probably not to these foolish agitators who still are
believing in goodness in the hearts & minds of Sonia-Manmohan-Rahul-Vadra regime.

Only thing that will work if they do not negotiate with any ministers of Sonia regime, neither allow this protest
become a theater of politicians like Arvind Kejriwal nor for any social leader like Baba Ramdev. Like we students
did during emergency time against Indira G, just keep demanding until judiciary hangs all the rapist in presence
of protestors, inside the jail compound or anywhere else.

Rape in reverse- SOnia Gandhi herself has raped Madhavrao Sccindia, Rajiv Ganhdi and Salman Thaseer and succeeded in trapping Rajiv Gandhi whose murder is still mysterious with CBI Karthikeyan and MK Narayanan (of RAW then) aborting the investigations when the facts were coming out.

>>Rajiv Gandhi's assassination was a dastardly crime on a Prime Minister of a country. Investigating this assassination seems to have been a shoddy affair. Among the unanswered questions by the Karthikeyan investigation team are the following:

1. What was the role of the Indian operatives in the assassination conspiracy?
2. What was the Supari delivered and received to operationalise the conspiracy?

Until these two questions are satisfactorily answered, the investigation will continue to be perceived as a shoddy affair. One of the senior investigators has charged that MK Narayanan was in RAW had hidden a vital video evidence and had perhaps even doctored it suggesting further MK Narayanan should be charged with the crime of causing disappearance of evidence in a capital offence. This charge is punishable with imprisonment for life under Section 201 of the IPC.........

Similarly Raol-Rahul was invoilved in rape at Amethi Guest House in 2006- hushed up.

There are many Cabinet Ministers too- Chidambaram found late night in Jeans and T shirt getting out of a room in Ashoka?

No media will ever investigate into these.

Mr.Venkatarman is right in most of his observations.

1.If the girls left at 11 PM with the intention of returning by 4AM, the motives were definitely questionable why they did not inform their parents and the purpose of their travel at these untimely hours. Only the accident exposed their absence and abrupt end of their secret journey

2. He is also right when he remarked about the revealing attires worn by students esp. students of schools and Colleges. Recently, a Delhi College Principal has insisted on students wearing only Salwar Kameez and such more respectable dress rather than hugging jeans and T-shirts revealing the outlines of their body alongwith the jumpy movements, attracting the boys towards excitement and pawing.

Let these dresses be worn when they attend functions/ parties or celebrations where these are appreciated.

3. With the need for additional income to sustain the families, girls are forced to work for an income esp. those from poorer background- and others for out of pocket expenses!!

There are many girls working in Outsourcing IT Sector esp. in call centres calling for working in late hours. The Management should ensure that these staff are dropped back at home within the doors safely as there have been cases where girls left at the street corner within a few steps away from the house were attacked or kidnapped, and in one case in Pune the driver took the girl away from ususal route, raped and killed her.

4. Good Samaritans too are scared of interfering when a girl is attacked in public as the Mumbai incidents have shown, the attackers knifing the boy and killing him.

5. Girls should avoid travelling late nights alone. They should carry pepper spray mixed with dye to avoid getting attacked and possibly identify teh attacker by the dye stains on teh skin.

Mr Venkatraman ji, it is taking the easy way out by blaming school students being out late at night or just anyone who steps out after dark,is to themselves held responsible for the difficulties they face. Worse than a jungle.
We feel media has done its job. They can highlight. What are our law makers doing? What are our politicians doing? Mouthing platitudes.

Rape in Delhi – All round corruption and lack of values could be the cause

The disgusting incident of rape in Delhi is nothing new in today's India, though the media has given wide publicity to this incident. Many such incidents have been taking place all over the country, more so amongst the women in the lower income group and many such incidents have not been reported.

Sometime back, a blind man's wife, ( who has vision ) was escorting her child from the school at 4 pm in the evening in suburb of Chennai, when four rowdies pushed her into a corner and assaulted her. Her blind husband anxious that the wife has not returned, took the help of some friends and went in search of her. He found her lying in a corner in a field totally devastated with the child crying nearby. This matter was reported in some local papers and a FIR was registered. To cut the long story short, the culprits were identified but they have gone scot-free. Obviously, those with political clout or money power can get away with any crime in today's India. The rapidly increasing widespread drinking habit is a major reason for such incidents taking place. Gandhijis advocacy of prohibition has fallen on dead ears. One wonders whether those in charge of administration who know these things have any conscience at all.

Due to the prevailing climate, number of rowdies in the country are increasing every day and police force are becoming increasingly inefficient and disinterested and the politicians in power have no sense of responsibility. The media including print and visual media as well as journals and cinemas, are also responsible for such a situation, as they highlight such incidents viewing them as  sensational news and  business opportunity, while ignoring several good things that are happening.

The corrupt conditions and excessive greediness to make money at any cost are creating such conditions where the law breakers have no fear of law and they think they can buy anyone. What is particularly sad is that the judiciary is also playing a role in promoting such a climate of violence, by not giving judgements in quick time and permitting the offenders to exploit the loopholes in law in the name of protecting the individual rights. Hundreds of cases can be shown where criminals and rapists have gone scot free.

Now women are the victims more in the rural areas and small towns.

It also causes concern that women too are contributing to such conditions by their mode of dress, tendency to go with strangers or the so called boy friends even in the dark hours and lack of parental control. In Chennai city last week, 7 college girl students were reported to have gone for a ride at 11 pm in the night in a car without the knowledge of the parents and they rushed back home by 4 in the morning to reach home before the parents would know. The speeding car met with an accident in which one girl died and the others were injured.

It is necessary for women to be more careful and dress themselves with dignity and avoid "free life" in the name of modern lifestyle. Of course, the media would call the suggestion as moral policing and conduct another debate !
