Re: [HumJanenge] FW: Joint Statement on Martyrdom of Shehla Masood (for your endorsement)

The Centre has ordered a CBI probe into the murder of Madhya Pradesh RTI activist Shehla Masood in Bhopal. This was disclosed by Minister of State for Department of Personnel V Narayanasamy in New Delhi yesterday. The Centre had received a letter from Madhya Pradesh government requesting for a CBI probe into the murder of Masood. Our correspondent reports that she was shot dead outside her residence in Bhopal on August 16.

The district police are still clueless about the identity of killers and motive behind the killing. The state government had announced a reward of one lakh rupees for clues leading to the attackers. Police had questioned a ruling BJP MLA and senior police official in this case. It had learnt that Shehla Masood had a telephonic conversation with BJP MP Tarun Vijay just a few hours before her murder. Sariq Noor, AIR News, Bhopal.

  • Als die Nazis die Kommunisten holten,
    habe ich geschwiegen;
    ich war ja kein Kommunist.

    Als sie die Sozialdemokraten einsperrten,
    habe ich geschwiegen;
    ich war ja kein Sozialdemokrat.

    Als sie die Gewerkschafter holten,
    habe ich nicht protestiert;
    ich war ja kein Gewerkschafter.

    Als sie die Juden holten,
    habe ich geschwiegen;
    ich war ja kein Jude.

    Als sie mich holten,
    gab es keinen mehr, der protestierte.
    • When the Nazis came for the communists,
      I remained silent;
      I was not a communist.

      When they locked up the social democrats,
      I remained silent;
      I was not a social democrat.

      When they came for the trade unionists,
      I did not speak out;
      I was not a trade unionist.

      When they came for the Jews,
      I remained silent;
      I wasn't a Jew.

      When they came for me,
      there was no one left to speak out.
