Re: [IAC#RG] A BJP MUKT BHARAT IS THE ONLY WAY FORWARD

Modi is a legitimately elected MP made PM by due process for 5 years and it is for the people at large to support him where ever possible, while the opposition doing their home work to replace him by that due process at appropriate times! I found that if this government do anything, even from the first day of coming to power, people opposed it and branded it saying that what is done is to capture the vote bank! Yes of course! They will do all that legitimate thing possible to retain power and they should do like any other! They should do what all are possible for the welfare of the country and people till the last day in power notwithstanding what the opposition would say!

I am a senior citizen born before independence and have had the privilege of experiencing all PMs. and their ministries! Earlier things were happening but now one can see things, immense at that, being done for the long time benefits!

Politicians and bureaucrats do not find their profession lucrative as the anti corruption measures appear to stop their yearning for that as a imagined lavish life style looks to be at stake- means for illegal earnings are uncertain!

Assuming without admitting that Modi has had criminal records (though he is exonerated from all)  we should introspect looking at Saint Valmiki, who is being worshiped today, was a robber and murderer but still found a place of pride in our scriptures!

My humble estimate is that there is no leader in the political doldrums as versatile as Modi and we should all tire him by giving more and more work for the good of the country and its people!

We've grown up seeing valid comedy as making fun of someone with a strong regional accent in cinema. Strong regional accents are actually stereotyped as orthodox or stupid.

But at least, we were in the process of moving in the right direction. When confronted with inequalities and injustices that exist, progress may have been slow, but as a country, overall, we did not brazen them out as the correct scheme of things.

Today, the complacency and sense of entitlement among privileged citizens is at an all time high. At the same time, the number of those who can thrive with such privilege is narrowly shrinking. Thoughtless superiority is being seen as righteousness, which paves the path for manipulators to feed narratives of hate to large groups of people that lets them feel superior and powerful over smaller groups or less powerful people. Of course, this is an emotional high with absolutely no tangible or material benefit to anyone. The manipulators lose nothing, share not an ounce of their well being or prosperity with those whose anger they harvest for profit.

This keeps the country occupied with a relentless cycle of hatred, responding to that hatred. When false perceptions are created with mass media, it is an uphill struggle to bring truth to light and by the time exhausted people have established the falsity, it is simple to toss a new provocation to occupy people with anger and keep them busy focusing on those who have absolutely no power to harm or help them, while those actually harming, who should have been helping, continue the exploitation of the country behind this smokescreen.

I don't see BJP as a political party at all. It is a criminal cartel. At the same time, there are no honorable alternatives either. At best, the current political situation is one of fighting to allow democratic choice once more, rather than people having power to choose between two viable options. At this point, the erosion of freedom itself is so severe, that possibly the only reason BJP could lose is because they NEED to get out of power in order to stop things from getting too obvious - and of course, because the opportunities for loot are shrinking along with the economy.

Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. I would love to hate the supporters of the Modi cartel as an easy target, but frankly, it wouldn't be a lot different from what they are up to, hating non-BJP people for some or the other reason. Fact of it is that they are as much the victims as those they target. They don't have a separate prosperous country to live in once the cartel is done stripping this one. Mass media and brainwashing, particularly the kind of organized and targeted brainwashing going on is very hard to combat, and the fact of it is that the average citizen lacks the IQ to see through the extremely complicated fog of propaganda.

Minorities are the canaries in the mine. The vulnerable will suffer before those less vulnerable, but a toxic situation will eventually destroy all.

Re: [IAC#RG] In agreement with S. Sen

This is not about US divorce laws or EU marriage laws, rather it is
about the absurd system of laws known as "Hindu Code 1955" which
Jawaharlal Nehru imposed on the people of India.

By these laws, a Hindu is (negatively) defined to be everybody who is
not a Christian or a Jew or a Muslim or a Sikh or a Jain or a Buddhist
or a Parsi or a Scheduled Tribal or an Arya Samaji or a Prarthana
Samaji or a Brahmo Samaji or a Lingayat etc.and so on.

In other words by the present Hindu code less than 30% of India is
Hindu and these consist of the Scheduled Castes and the OBC castes who
get 50+% . reservations.

So it is quite understandable why parasite compradors like Shri Arun
Kumar, Shri Rahul Gandhi, Shri Narendra Modi, Shri Mohan Bhagwat and
the entire RSS etc insist that they are Hindus and the rest of us
(presumably) are not.

You are quite correct that codifying marriage and divorce laws was for
inheritance and to provide compensation to divorcees, Under the
prevalent codified law, the day Indira Nehru married Feroze Gandhi she
ceased to be a Hindu and he ceased to be a Parsi. Thereafter when
Rajiv Gandhi married Sonia Gandhi under the Indian laws, both they and
their children ceased to have any religion in the eyes of the State.
Therefore it is quite inexplicable that Mr. Rahul Gandhi insists in
public that he is a Hindu of Brahmin caste and claims his gotra from
an alleged distant ancestor Kamala Kaul. His ignorance of True
Hinduism is further exposed when he goes as an idolator to pray in a
fake temple of Brahma which has as its idol a four headed image of a
deity.

Insofar as who is a Hindu, I can suggest either the Tilak test or the
following definition by Raj Narain Bose (the Grandgather of Indian
Nationalism)

"Hinduism defined as worship of Brahma, or the Supreme Being, whose
knowledge and worship all the Hindu Shastras agree in asserting to be
the sole cause of salvation, and other forms of Hindu worship and the
observance of rites and ceremonies as preliminary means for ascending
to that knowledge and worship."

[IAC#RG] In agreement with S. Sen

I appreciate the perspective offered in Shukla Sen's contribution to this issue. It is really absurd to flog this worn horse further.  It's a non- starter.  Marriage, according to several judgements in divorce cases in US and Europe laws, does not merely concern two individuals or even two families but the groom,  the bride,  and their society,  their shared or several community/communities. Forms of cohabitation without religious or legal acceptance are now recognised in common law,  including in India.

The purpose of codifying marriage and divorce rites in modern - Imperial British - Indian law was mainly to protect the estates and inheritance of the three parties involved and to determine the rights of the parties - of maintenance or compensation due to divorced spouses of the various communities.

Therefore,  whatever be the rites followed in the above sets of marriage and  death, and their reversal or appropriation by the several communities involved it will be impossible to untangle at this point of time the will and purpose of the actions of the three concerned parties.

I want to share what a senior  confidante and palace official of late King Birendra of Nepal,  Shri Renu Singh told me in 1980 : King Mahendra complained to  Nehru about his son wishing to marry out of caste and community,  to have in effect,  a 'love marriage'. Nehru said he had had the same problem with his only child Indira. He advised Mahendra, who is seen as a representative of Vishnu by 'Hindus',  to give up his clinging to past convention,  to caste,  tribe and  custom and let the children do as they wish. "Parents," Nehru allegedly said,  "can do nothing about this in these new times". (I may add that the woman Birendra wanted to marry actually refused his offer and went on to marry someone else,  also out of caste.)

So,  "the times,  they are changing," and S. Roy ought to give up his fascination for true or accurate descriptions of people's religion,  castes and  such affiliations,  particularly those of public persons. We are no longer in the age of Tulsidas's Ramayana when Ram had to abandon his lawfully married Mallika in the forest due to mere suspicion that she was sullied by captivity in the kingdom of Lanka.

The politician Rahul, who was described as buffoon by the Telangana Chief Minister , happened to become the President of the family oriented Congress party by virtue of belonging to the Nehru family ,by way of hereditary succession management.

Obviously, he has been tutored by his paid or motivated friends in India and abroad to describe Prime Minister Modi in all sorts of abusive and indecent language, so that the public image of Modi would suffer heavily before the forthcoming parliamentary election. He has repeatedly called Modi as chor and such language has never been used against any other Prime Minister in the country by any opposition leader. It is Goebbel's tactics.

In parliament, he spoke highly critically about Modi and then went and hugged him , came back to his seat and winked at his party colleagues, as if he has made great achievement , to the surprise and shock of everyone. This made people wonder whether he is an unstable person and some people even suspecting whether he could be some sort of a play boy.

It is extremely disturbing that an opposition political leader from South India has said that the politician Rahul should be the Prime Ministerial candidate. Fortunately, several opposition political leaders have dismissed such suggestion with contempt.

It is necessary that all discerning citizens of India should putforth utmost efforts, so that an unstable politician like Rahul , who cannot even use decent language in public discourse , should not be successful in his greedy ambition to become the Prime Minister of this great country.

In the next three months before the parliamentary poll, the politician Rahul will bring down the public discourse in India to a new low level and the country men have to put up with this insult, while the sensation seeking media would be highly pleased with the "hilarious reporting opportunity".

I agree with first Para of mail below. How has this forum become arbitrator of deciding religion or caste of people. It was being done by political leaders fighting elections, which are over, but this forum continues to spend time and energy on this exercise. Is this forum fighting next election?

It has been brought up again and again by media including TV discussions that use of  un - civil language was started by BJP and its leaders before 2014 election and thereafter it has been free for all by all political parties. In fact all politicians are the same and we can not isolate one from the other.

Rahul Gandhi is the head of INC as its members know that in present environment, only Gandhi family will be able to keep the congress flock together.
