Re: [IAC#RG] Re one expatriate Arun Kumar's tirade

I agree with first Para of mail below. How has this forum become arbitrator of deciding religion or caste of people. It was being done by political leaders fighting elections, which are over, but this forum continues to spend time and energy on this exercise. Is this forum fighting next election?

Does this forum not screen hate speeches that betray a total lack of common decency besides an abysmal ignorance about India's religions,  it's iniquitous socio-economic systems, and even the framework of the modern Indian Constitution and it's Directive Principles?

For example,  what  Is the definition of a Hindu that is acceptable to all who call themselves that? What  was 'peaceful' about those bloody Vedic sacrifices or the subordination of all the indigenous populations of the subcontinent and genocides of those who resisted?  Does this man think 'Hindu' means a caste bound patriarchal society that follows multiple gods and feels it their duty to dub those who don't or who follow other gods foreigners? And if he wants to live a peaceful Upanishadic life why does he not come to some Himalayan ashram to practice the rigorous meditative contemplations of the  sadhus and yogis  of yore?

Kindly screen and reject such entries from your site.  They only serve to vitiate the contents and lower the standard of discussion on this forum with their absurd and lumpen levels of hatred for 'the other'. In this case of course the  abuse must reflect some deep sense of unease or inferiority in a foreign White Anglo-Saxon majority country.
