Re: [IAC#RG] Arundhati Roy: Big money' is backing Modi to end resistance

Dear Rina

Please also read what the other side writes. for eg.
http://hellinparadise.150m.com/dralistairlamb.htm

Its very strange that you say that people of J&K were all for India in
1947 but over the years they have changed loyalties due to Pakistan.
This clearly shows that a) either Kashmir is not an "integral" part of
India, or B) That the Indian Govt. has no business running Kashmir
(directly or indirectly).

We must also understand the term "integral" when used as an adjective
.."necessary to make a whole complete ..". Arundhati Roy and ilk seem
to be saying that India can do very well without Kashmir (and all its
historical baggage and conflict potentials) and that India does not
need Kashmir - and is far better off without Kashmir - as it removes
an irritant which allows foreign imperialists tremendous leverage over
India.
