"Aaya Ram Gaya Ram "politics of AAP

In the life of individuals and organisations , moments come when one has to decide between self centred temptations  and  principles and values that one claim to cherish. In the case of Aam Aadmi party, this moment arrived and it has failed in the test.

Aam Aadmi party has been highly critical of  congress party for the last several  months , calling it as corrupt to the core. Now, it has benefited itself with the support of the congress party to occupy power in Delhi.  This only reminds us of the notorious term  in Indian politics "Aaya Ram Gaya Ram".

The appropriate and ethical  course for AAP would have been to sit as opposition party and contest yet another election if it would become necessary

Obviously, Aam Aadmi party has fallen to the temptation of power,  though it does not have a majority.  It  has only tried to camouflage it's act by giving an impression of "consulting the people".

.

Is it not necessary that an organisation which claims from the roof top about its commitments to value system in public life should conduct itself with highest level of scruples?  Now, for all practical purposes, Aam Aadmi party looks like as opportunistic as any other political party .

In any case, there is one more test for AAP.

While  it has said that it would launch investigation against  Sheila Dixit, why not it order an investigation against Kejriwal himself , against whom several allegations are circulating,  to prove his fairness and impartial approach.   If Kejriwal would claim he is innocent, then Sheila Dixit can also have the same claim.  Let  a judicial  enquiry be ordered   by AAP government against both these persons  and also against the way AAP collected funds from NRIs , many of whom are reported to be  not Indian voters at present.  If Kejriwal would do this , he can get another opportunity to win credentials back.
