RE: [IAC#RG] Fwd: Corruption of Private Builders - Note on Navin Raheja of NAREDCO

Dear Dr. Sharma,
I am glad you have taken up this long pending issue- specially the fate of Apartment Owners in Delhi.
You know in Mumbai we have cooperative societies for Housing and comercial premises and once the society has been formed, irrespective of whether the builder has given conveyance or not, the society manages all affairs.
In Delhi inspite of your best efforts, flat owners are at the mercy of builders, inspite of the PIl in the Superior courts and flat owners associations have not been given power to manage their affairs.
The corruption and mal-practices has increased during the last 15-20 years.
More after I have gone through the links.

Hi,

We have written a note, based on our 8 years of experience in real estate, about how private builders subvert the law to earn obscene profits. Much of the modus operandi was very clearly explained by the Competition Commission of India in their Supplementary Order in the DLF Case. http://cci.gov.in/May2011/OrderOfCommission/192010S.pdf (We were a part of this case and submitted a report on the Apartment Owners Associations behalf http://news.qubrex.com/qubrex-submits-expert-report-to-competition-c )

Now we have written a report about the malpractices of the builders, and rather than leaving it as an abstract exercise have put a face to the builder. The builder we have highlighted is Mr Navin Raheja who is the President of NAREDCO http://naredco.in/  (National Real Estate Development Council Under the Aegis of Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation) and MD of Raheja Developers based out of Delhi.

Would appreciate if the esteemed group can look at our report and suggest as to how to move it forward. If attachment does not go through, it can be accessed at http://www.scribd.com/doc/125978191/Raheja-of-NAREDCO-The-Man-Who-Would-Be-King

How to get action invoked on all the malpractices that we have documented. Looking for guidance in our small little war on real estate corruption ...

Thanks, and with warm regards,
Sanjay
