Oliver Cromwell's Speech in 1653
Oliver Cromwell MP's speech on the dissolution of the Rump of the Long Parliament, given to the House of Commons, 20 April 1653.
"It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice;
ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government;
ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would, like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.
Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess?
Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your God; which of you have not barter'd your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?
Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defiled this sacred place, and turn'd the Lord's temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices?
Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; you were deputed here by the people to get grievances redress'd, are yourselves gone!
So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors.
In the name of God, go!"
India has been a monarchy for many decades with interludes of rebellion

May be WE IN INDIA NEED A CROMWELL URGENTLY!!
360 years have elapsed since Cromwell spoke these words
IN THIS NEW INDIA each one of us VOTERS needs to be a CROMWELL....
CAN any Political Party in India dare make this their campaign message !

Dear Navnith

I don't see any "squabbles". At IAC we have always placed "Defence of the Indian nation and its brave defenders" as our #1 priority.

I also don't see why we should react to jingoism in a trade journal. IDR is a vested interest. As it is much of the public is concerned with the "big ticket" arms deals done in a corrupt fashion which is taking money out of India away from basic infrastructure on which it could be better spent.

Since from now on, our mailing lists are going to be very sparingly used, we have opened a brand new forum for such discussions

http://indiaresists.org/forum/

Register there and everyone interested can discuss these things in depth with IAC's unique insights for IAC's backing.

PS: These great threats have always been looming over us, and the present political class is no different from ALL the ones we've had before.

Dear Sarabjit,

In the din of sqabbles between us, are we aware of the great threats looming over us? Unless corrected,the present political class,who already divided this great country, will lead us to disaster.
