Having Read the News Item , one Mr lakshmikant has Made an RTI request to police to Furnish progress Report on Investigation by Police on A police complaint on Certain persons who have not performed thier Contractual obligations
The police have Deneied the Information that Investigation is in Progress .
Section 8 Subsection (h) Exemptions from Disclosure of Information reads
"INFORMATION WHICH WOULD IMPEDE THE PROCESS OF INVESTIGATION OR APPREHENSION OR PROSECUTION OF OFFENDERS'"
It is Now left to Mr Lakshmi kant to prove before karnataka information Commission or First appeallate authority that the Contractual obligation has not been performed and There fore there will not be any Material change or alteration to the Issue/Matter or Complaint and Furnishing information will not impede the process of investigation.
otherwise the Stand taken by the police at this stage is Correct .
However I am marking a copy of this Mail To "PRAJAVANI" for Future References to Be specific or Elaborate
