At least some people thought that AAP will set new standards and emerge as role model for other political parties in the country. In any case, this is what Kejriwal & his friends claimed and  based on such claims they  campaigned during the Delhi poll.

The present faction war in AAP clearly indicates that this party is really no different from other political parties in the country, with  ego , prejudice and one upmanship  becoming  the central factor in the relationship between the persons in the leadership position of the party.

Even though Delhi voters responded to the campaign of AAP and provided unmatched support for the party in the recent Delhi election, it has not brought any sense of responsibility amongst the party leaders but only created friction amongst  them, obviously due to the greed  of dominating the party leadership, to reap the benefits of power.

Delhi voters ignored several complaints and allegations against the leadership of AAP such as collection of tainted money from all and sundry for the election campaign and providing fictitious account for the money collected.  So far, AAP has conveniently ignored such allegations. It would have been appropriate for the party to order an enquiry about the allegations against AAP after coming to power, if the party were really true to it's claim of  having tall standards of probity and accountability.

The present squabble in AAP only provides more frustration and disappointment to Indians who long for emergence of  patriotic, capable and unblemished people in power.

Re: [IAC#RG] Shanti Bhushan attacks Kejriwal again, accuses him of accepting 'tainted money'

I also wish AAP well and will be happy if it can honour its 70 commitments given to the people.Being  a realistic, I  wonder where the huge amount of funds needed to implement the proposals will come from. Most of the Delhities have made the UT home after coming from various states and most of them are not aware that their everyday requirements come from other states including PAANI -BIJLI.I am told that for reducing electricity bills and free water Delhi Administration need about 1600 crore  in a financial year. But this amount will not decrease next year onward since input cost for generating electricity and treatment of raw water is expected to go up every year.Delhi govt will have to implement 7th Pay Commission Recommendation. It is expected next year. This was announced by the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley while presenting the General Budget in LS on February 28.Since Delhi govt employees in the   UT  are given central govt"s pay scales, the 7th Pay Recommendation will be implemented .Besides AAP has promised to set up new colleges, schools, hospitals. The central govt has its own limitation and is committed to bridge the budgetary  deficit in phases .Govts all over the world including erstwhile Communist regimes of the Soviet Union ,other socialist countries and even China are reducing SUBSIDIES to its citizens.
If AAP govt goes on giving subsidies, all development projects will come to a standstill and new ones cannot be taken up due to shortage of funds.Even market borrowing will not be possible as bankers and investors cannot be convinced about the return of their principals from a govt which is broke. And that is why some people  WHO say AAP HAS SOLD A DREAM TO THE GULLIBLE  SEEM TO BE CORRECT.
With Good wishes to the CM & and his team

Greetings!

The Union Budget for 2015-16 will be presented on February 28th, 2015.

HAQ: Centre for Child Rights has been undertaking analysis of budgetary allocations for children every year. This year, as we at HAQ, get ready to critically analyse the Union budget again we have prepared an article and highlighted the key points from a child rights perspective.

The government has already highlighted its priority areas for the budget and has talked about significant tax reforms, smart cities, skill development, women's security, budget for the social sector, among other things. But this time they will be expected to be more cautious in their planning as the "Aam Aadmi" can no longer be ignored!

Among the "Aam Aadmi" is the "Aam Bachha", whose needs require special attention since budget analysis undertaken by HAQ: Centre for Child Rights and other groups working towards strengthening governance and accountability have shown how children's rights have remained on the periphery, while they constitute 40% of the country's population.

You can read the article titled 'POLITICS, PAISA OR PRIORITIES: WHERE WOULD CHILDREN FIT INTO THE 2015-16 UNION BUDGET?' on our website. Please click on http://www.haqcrc.org/blogs/politics-paisa-or-priorities to access the article.

Re: [IAC#RG] Shanti Bhushan attacks Kejriwal again, accuses him of accepting 'tainted money'

As a good & a fair IACian, one must say that it will take a few years, if not decades, for AK of AAP, to build solid/honest & viable policies on ground. Distance remains great between "the cup and the lip." The Delhites' support also springs from a sense of hopelessness, which is what Congress and BJP bequeathed them. Tall promises, in politics, rarely get lived up to.

Already, within a few days of taking charge, one presages the rumbles & tumbles AAP is likely to undergo -- may be even before my email gets the sanction, to see the light of day.
Lets remember, how AAP has oscillated in the course of the last 12-18 months.

Considering the big responsibility AK declares that AAP will nt fight any other election for 5 years. So he has decided to restrict AAP as a regional party restricted to Delhi alone. Each individual has loyalty towards the state or region from where he or she comes from and wish that his state and region also become corruption free from the clutches of corrupt politician. Many mush have join party wit pure political dreams of power and accordingly had already express their dream on few bits to TV channels that they gave after Delhi win. Will it not discourage and disintegrate all his loyal party workers who r based out of Delhi ?  Will they all not feel cheated and deprived of good fortune to any such govt. like AAP where they could have also enjoyed power. Were they fools to waste time campaigning for Delhi ?
This is one another blunder by AK which has been committed and which gives an extension to all corrupt parties to unquestionably enjoy the fruit of democracy for next 5 years.

A man who was found to be unfit for public administration in

RE: [IAC#RG] Shanti Bhushan attacks Kejriwal again, accuses him of accepting 'tainted money'

In my opinion undue importance is being given to the Delhi election. It is just because Delhi happens to be the center of power or seat of central Govt. In terms of territory, Voters and financial outlays it is just like any other Metr0politan City. It has its own legislature but limited power. This is going to be another area of conflict with Center. NCT area is only 1483 KM. Some people are suggesting NCR should be given to make it a state. But there is no way other states like Haryana or UP or Rajasthan will agree.
The Chief Minister has joined forces against land aquisition. Nothing wrong with it. But how is he going to acquire land for his 500 schools and 20 colleges.
He has written a letter to Haryana Chief Minister for more water from the Canal. But he forgets that Haryana has no water to give even in adjoining cities like Gurgaon. Punjab has refused to part with additional water for Haryana and Rajasthan even though the matter has upto the Supreme Court.
These are the issues AAP leadership has to face rather than indulge in gimmicks like free water and electricity. About the budget the chief Minister has invited people to make the budget without specifying the financial limits.
