This is exactly the reason I withdrew from Yahoo Answers and rtiindia. Both of them were trying to censor in the name of moderation. I am of the view if any of you think that this portal, may be started by you, Hence you own the right to CALL NAMES or make unpar;iamentary comments you go no further. There should free flow of all opinions whatever could be their religion, castes and creed. This country is full of hypocrats who in the name of moderations eliminate best ideas to eliminate CORRUPTION all pervading. Mr Sarbajit Roy , calm down and take it as test of your limited patience. By such pretention you go nowhere. And if you think you can go alone with a bunch of your chosen few carry on regardless that's the elitists outlook in this most unfortunate country of ours. Re: Reply: [rti4empowerment] Re: VERY IMPORTANT GROUP ANNOUNCEMENT
[rti4empowerment] SBI worst than Swiss Bank
| After the KYC has been made mandatory, the Bank must reply to the RTI application but it has thousand of branches and will take long time to complile the list. I suggest you to ask same thing confined to the branches located in one city at a time. If no reply or unsatisfactory reply, proceed further. KYC is an important tool to stop fraud. --- On Fri, 21/1/11, M.K. Gupta <mkgupta100@yahoo.co.in> wrote:

Re: [HumJanenge] "Bunker Roy's wife Aruna Roy, is a Maoist"
What's going on and on - This is how colonial masters divided us and ruled us for 200 years. They send Christian missionaries and the British Chengish Khans to produce as many ango indians as possible along with forced conversions. They made english compulsory for the elites and the dynastic rulers who are now the brown sahebs in the forms of politicians , Raja of ----, Nawabs of -----, Maharani of ----, Lords and Sirs of---. Lets not use this site for such mudslinging. Ms Aruna Roy is a respected soul and not a timid soul. Let her live longer for the betterment of this country which is usurped by a few elitists families. --- On Thu, 20/1/11, Nicholas Santiago <nick.santiargo@yahoo.co.uk> wrote:

Re: [rti4empowerment] SBI worst than Swiss Bank
I have two accounts, self and wife's in SBI and also 4 PPF accounts. I appreciate its adherence to rules and working. Now, it has started advance technology and has connected all the saving and PPF accounts via computer. Bank has not changed my residential address as I did not have any proof of new address. Now, I have received new voter id card and the addresse will be changed but on this score, I do not have any grudge against Bank. Though, sometime, little carelessness in transfer of funds as my wife witnessed this twoce but after on-line complaint, the matter was resorted to her satisfaction. Adherence to rules means no or lesser fraud though little inconvenience. --- On Fri, 21/1/11, haridas mandal <acsman123@yahoo.co.in> wrote:

Re: [HumJanenge] Breaking: DoPT Circular on draft RTI Rules
This shows that the DoPT has proceeded with the proposed amendments and has ordered publications of these rules in the Gazette of India but the letter does not have any date and the year mentioned is 2010. Also the DoPT letter does not have any number against the usual practice. Even since the last day of the last year, 20 days have lapsed but this has come to the knowledge now. Pl. check veracity of the letter too. I request for further infomation. .If the govt. has proceeded with its plans, it means that the public suggestions have been rejected. The letter has provision of creation of registry, limit of 250 words, one subject at one time among other amendments.. . --- On Fri, 21/1/11, ashish kr1965 <ashishkr1965@yahoo.com> wrote:

Re: [HumJanenge] Breaking: DoPT Circular on draft RTI Rules
The Secretary/Ministry of Personnel
North Block
BY EMAIL
21.January.2011
Kind Attn: Ms. Alka Sirohi
Dear Madam,
Sub: Amendments to draft RTI Rules and associated matters
This is further to (and as an aide memoir) to our telecon today.
1) I am attaching a PDf file containing an OM dated 27.12.2010 issued by
Mr. K.G.Verma/director(RTI) on the above subject. It is pertinent that this
OM is not published on website of the persmin, but was obtained from
website of DoT. The gist of this OM is that a large number of persons have
opposed the proposed 250 word limit and 1 subject rule for RTI requests.
2) From this OM, I am surprised to see that the approximately 276 responses
submitted by myself and other members of our RTI mailing lists (ie.
stakeholders)
SUPPORTING the proposed 250 word limit and 1 subject rule appear not to have
been considered at all. This is doubly curious considering that I am reliably
informed that only about 400 comments running into about 2,000 pages were
received by persmin within the period specified to these draft Rules.
3) I am also constrained to inform you that I am reliably informed
that this fresh
OM of 27.12.2010 was issued solely to facilitate the NAC (National Advisory
Council) to submit proper comments on the draft rules. It is clearly
in the public
domain (website of NAC http://nac.nic.in minutes of meeting dt. 10.01.2011)
that the NAC has submitted some half baked comments and expects the DoPT
to grant them more time. I hence say that this discriminates against individuals
like me who have filed detailed and well reasoned comments on the proposed
RTI Rules, and which appear not to have been considered.
4) I am also constrained to convey that despite the MoP being the nodal Ministry
for RTI Act and despite the passage of 5 years of the RTI Act, the MoP has
not been able to publish its own basic mandatory proactive disclosure. This
includes processes for consultations with members of the public. This is
also the subject of my pending formal RTI requests and RTI Appeals to
your Ministry which are not being replied to within the time limit. I have also
regularly represented these points to our predecessor Mr Shantanu Consul
but to no avail. In my view, such non-disclosure allows RTI touts such as
Ms Aruna Roy ensconced within the NAC to manipulate the situation to
their personal advantage. It is also pertinent, and as I have communicated
to MoP, that certain of the NAC's comments to draft RTI Rules appear to
be plagiarised from my own work.
I therefore request you to kindly look into the brief points I have made
so that ordinary citizens like me can also participate in statutory processes
of your department/ministry on an equal footing.
Thanking you and with best wishes
Sarbajit Roy
