Re: [IAC++] Mr Justice Altamas Kabir Hon'ble Chief Justice of India may like to ask Mr Justice M Y Eqbal few pertinent questions on "Discretionary Quota"...

Dear Mr Prasad Vaidya

You should read Mr. Sarbjit Roy's email carefully. His opinion is correct. The SC and various HCs opine their powers to punish for contempt of themselves are under their inherent powers conferred by the Constitution.of India and not through any law of Parliament. Truth is no defence when it comes to contempt of a superior court as contemnors like Arundhati Roy have discovered (and had to apologise for).

1) The SC will do nothing on Babubhai's email. It does not qualify to be a PIL.

2) If by some mistake (or on fit complaint) the SC decides to initiate
Contempt (Criminal) proceedings against Mr. Babubhai, he will then get
the chance to raise these matters in his defence, whereupon the SC
will again rule that "truth" is no defence in contempt matters,

3) What our Ombudsman Mr. Babubhai is doing is keeping it in the
public domain that the Supreme Court and High Court judges are a
"mafia" answerable to themselves and are controlled by a so-called

Re: [IAC++] Amazon shows :How FDI will raise prices by 10 times.

Vidyut

We are quite grateful to Col Nair for introducing the Price-Purchase-Parity factor into this discourse.

The $23,021 figure seems to be the cut-off line for the bottom 20% of US citizens. This means that the mid point at 50% (assuming its a bell shaped Gaussian normal distribution) would probably be about 3x that or US$ 70,000 (just a quick guesstimate - must do the math later). Assuming a middle class Indian (say Maruti factory worker making Rs.18,000 per month) So this probably means that the PPP factor is  US$1 really = INR 3 which is what Col. Nair arrived at.

So both of you are saying the same thing but talking past each other. Using this logic it seems that the Rs.25 per day poverty line Planning Commission figure targets the bottom 2% of the population only.

IAC recommends using banana slicers for the  creative purposes described by Mr Bobbit.

As part of its manifesto IAC demands that the topmost IAC babus (Cabsec, Sec DoPT,  PrSecPMO etc) must not receive gross emoluments more than 3 times the poverty line as determined by the competent Govt agency. (The present base figure is Rs. 80,000 p.m.)

It doesn't exactly include shipping. If you read the link, it is an add on item on purchases over $25 and gets added to the delivery for free - after you buy it.

Who needs a banana cutter anyway.

A matter of opinion. Have a toddler in the house, and banana slices (and the cutter) can be an interesting way to tempt the kid into eating a banana. God knows having a child means buying a lot of things regardless of "necessity". Also, for a family that eats a lot of fruit plates/salads/recipes... it can be a useful kitchen gadget. Technically you don't need to own more than one knife or pen. How many do you actually own?

The same mistake is made by most people while assessing the poverty line. The UNDP poverty line is $1.25 per capita per day. Most people assume that this is about Rs 60 per day which is incorrect. It is actually Rs 20 per day. So the planning Commission figure of Rs 26 per day in rural areas is actually an improvement on the UNDP poverty line.

This calculation does not compute. You are taking the UNDP poverty line and applying it to the US dollar parity. Well the US does not have a poverty line comparable with anything recognizable in your post. To my knowledge, the last known poverty line at $23,021 for a family of four, computes to about $15.7 a day. Which would be a brilliant idea for India even with parity factored in. Or wait, even half of that would be a brilliant idea

Col Pavan Nair

I have observed that starting with agreeing with a government stand and picking reasoning and figures to suit usually leads to logical fallacies, because the government is illogical. Our poverty line is unsustainable. People living at twice our poverty line are just as likely to die of hunger. It is simply a game to decrease visible numbers and the culpability of misgovernance.

Just saying.

Dear Kris

1) I think you may have missed (or overlooked) an email thread  on this list titled "Voice of HRARMY" started by "Bhagat SIngh Azad" suggesting directions of IAC based on HRA ideology. The HRA Manifestoi is quite detailed on use of violence as a tool of last resort (I presume that is what you were asking) I'm not sure if it means using economic incentives or sexual blackmail and honeypots etc .. must ask them..

2)  "Gandhis" are all these topiwallahs (white, black, black-on-white,red) etc. in their Armani dhotis, or cotton knickers or khadi kurta pajamas,. who are nothing but touts and lackeys of the invading imperial occupying force. Like twittering birds whose chatter betrays the movement of the tiger trying to move in for the kill, such interfering pests deserve to be exterminated en-masse as per classical HRA theory..

Re: [IAC++] RULES for the IAC mailing list

Dear Kris

I'll inform you as best I can.But your queries are not in the sequence to properly answer.  So I'll do this free-form, and if there's anything left over we can get back to you.

1)  IAC is a body of persons affiliated to / originated from  the Hindustan Republican Association as a component of HRA's original Constitution/Manifesto. As a revolutionary freedom fighting organisation HRA had many underground and overground groups.

2) It is registered in Uttar Pradesh for purposes of fighting some legal matters in Allahabad High Court. I presume it is still registered because IAC in Dec 2010 planned to use the name/style to file a PIL from Arvind's address in Vaishali/Ghaziabad (UP) against CWG-2010 scams.

3)  The historical Constitution and Manifesto of the HRA is easily accessible on the internet. I believe they are still regularly used / referred and any HRA member on this list can assist you with any queries you have on these or their updated versions.

4) Everyone on this list is automatically assume to be a subscriber to IAC movement. I use the word "subscriber" instead of "member". The views/objectives etc. of IAC are being gradually disseminated over this list for the last 40 days. Based on subscriber feedback, the manifesto of the new IAC has evolved and is fully ready in draft form to incorporate the wishes of subscribers.
.
5) IAC is democratic in the sense that it only recognises the "individual" and does not acknowledge any "organisation" of persons - including itself.  (The organisation has assumed various forms to interact with the external reality, but such organisation has no existence internally). There is no leadership and no hierarchy. "You" are as equal as "I" am. There is no High Command.

6) Any (unaffilated) person can join IAC formally or informally by imbibing and accepting its ideals . All actions in IAC space are public and archived. IAC is not a secret society. IAC does not believe any money or donation or formal oath and/or pledge is required  to join IAC.

7) IAC believes that elections are highly divisive tools wielded to misguide Indians to loot the nation and benefit a small fraction of the citizenry. IAC is against elections in principle. IAC is also against Political Parties (and consequently politicians) in principle.

8)  HRA is the parent body, because they are stated to have "loaned" their name to an ex-IAC person  to fight a PIL - the details of which I am not privy to (also since I am not an HRA member nor do I entirely share their vision) . That process apparently didn't take place and the ex-IAC (now AAP) people agreed not to use the IAC name in future. It seems they have honorably stuck to their end of the bargain.

9)  The need for revolutionary spirit continues because India is still ruled by the East Italian Mafia company HQ'ed in New York/Washington with global offices everywhere.

10) In short, the previous IAC had 2 factions. The "soft" (ie. "naram" group) has left taking their useless ("warm body, 1 man 1 vote) numbers with them to take the political road lusting after "power". What remains behind in IAC is the "Garam" (hardline hot-headed hardcore group) which eschews politics or organisation or Gandhigiri or wearing "topis" of any colour except camouflage.

Dear Sarbajit,

Would you kindly answer the following questions on IAC:

1. Is IAC a registered body? If yes, please share the details. If not what's it?

2. Is there an article or constitution? What are its objectives?

3. Is there a membership? How many members are there? Who are the members? How can citizens become members?

3. Is there a governing body or committee administering IAC as per constitution or is it run by one person?

4. Is IAC a democratic organization?  Are there provisions for elections to the governing body?

5. What are the objectives of IAC. How would it support its members. How do members participate in the activities of IAC?

6. Is it a transparent and accountable entity? What are its governing rules, finances, etc.

7. Please add any other relevant details not included here, but of general interest to members.

8. Is there a IAC manifesto as stated. My apologies if I missed the document. Please attach.

9. You have stated: "6) IAC is a patriotic movement of ancient lineage and revolutionary spirit. Members are requested to familiarise themselves thoroughly with the morals of the parent Hindustan Republican Association which secured for India independence from foreign rule in a non-sectarian and non-communal revolutionary manner.  Membership in the IAC casts upon all Indians a primary Constitutional duty to defend the sovereignty, unity and integrity of the nation and its people by all means, including violence if necessary."

Question: What is the need for any revolutionary spirit which may have been relevant for obtaining freedom. Is it relevant today. How can you say "including violence if necessary". Is it not against the law? How can anyone subscribe to violence in a democracy? Please clarify.

10. How are you claiming HRA as the parent organization?

It would be incorrect to directly convert the currency at market exchange rates. You need to use purchasing power parity or PPP rates which for India /US is done by a factor of 3. In other words the cost of the item is actually about Rs 80 which includes shipping which does not seem excessive.

It doesn't exactly include shipping. If you read the link, it is an add on item on purchases over $25 and gets added to the delivery for free - after you buy it.
