Obviously, who has written this is a stooge of Congress & Government - there is nothing thought proking in what he has dwritten - this is the stock generalization which often used by pessimists, which has no basis or rational. Baba Ramdev has not broken any law like all political parties who disrupt life. This is the guise used by British against Mahatma Ghandhiji - What was the net result? This action is going to boomarang against the government - I sincearly hope and pray there will be no disruption normal life and wanton distruction of public property.

Probably, Baba Ramdev has underestimated the brute rule of law and overestimated the popular responses and the political fortunes his fasting would fetch. This certainly was a religious congregation under the guise of Civil Society. If allowed to continue, his fast would have triggered more such fasts, tearing the democratic fabric apart. Suppose tomorrow a few Mullahs, Buddhist Monks, Christian Priests emulate him demanding reasonable or otherwise demands, what will happen to this country? Those who support such ill-advised movements must bear it in mind that we are living in a democracy. Please do not overdo the protests. Everyone is rightly disgusted with corruption and black-money, but this should not encourage us to blindly support those suffering from Lime-light Seeking Syndrome. For this simple reason, the action of the government is justified. So the government can be said to have done well in ordering crack-down against the politically motivated Fast.

Probably, Baba Ramdev has underestimated the brute rule of law and overestimated the popular responses and the political fortunes his fasting would fetch. This certainly was a religious congregation under the guise of Civil Society. If allowed to continue, his fast would have triggered more such fasts, tearing the democratic fabric apart. Suppose tomorrow a few Mullahs, Buddhist Monks, Christian Priests emulate him demanding reasonable or otherwise demands, what will happen to this country? Those who support such ill-advised movements must bear it in mind that we are living in a democracy. Please do not overdo the protests. Everyone is rightly disgusted with corruption and black-money, but this should not encourage us to blindly support those suffering from Lime-light Seeking Syndrome. For this simple reason, the action of the government is justified. So the government can be said to have done well in ordering crack-down against the politically motivated Fast.

MORNING NEWS 0 8.15 HOURS on 5.6.2011.

Police dispersed the people gathered at Baba Ramdev's rally at Ramlila ground in the National Capital. Earlier, police cancelled the permission to the Yoga Guru for holding a yoga camp at the venue to maintain public order and said that the permission was only for having yoga classes. A police spokesman said, when Baba Ramdev refused to comply with the order of revoking permission, police had to swing into action in the wee hours today. He further said that Mr. Ramdev is safe. Earlier in the day government had sent an explanatory note to the Yoga Guru on the demands made by him including the framing up of a law for declaring black money stashed in foreign banks as national asset. The government maintained with this note all demands of Baba Ramdev have been met with and all his doubts clarified.

(In the news, it has nowhere been mentioned that the action took place at midnight and the whether Baba Ramdev was informed about the cancellation of permission for holding yoga camp.  It has not been mentioned that Baba has been taken into custody.  Even, disinformation is being spread by mentioning, "The government maintained with this note all demands of Baba Ramdev have been met with and all his doubts clarified").

Probably, Baba Ramdev has underestimated the brute rule of law and overestimated the popular responses and the political fortunes his fasting would fetch. This certainly was a religious congregation under the guise of Civil Society. If allowed to continue, his fast would have triggered more such fasts, tearing the democratic fabric apart. Suppose tomorrow a few Mullahs, Buddhist Monks, Christian Priests emulate him demanding reasonable or otherwise demands, what will happen to this country? Those who support such ill-advised movements must bear it in mind that we are living in a democracy. Please do not overdo the protests. Everyone is rightly disgusted with corruption and black-money, but this should not encourage us to blindly support those suffering from Lime-light Seeking Syndrome. For this simple reason, the action of the government is justified. So the government can be said to have done well in ordering crack-down against the politically motivated Fast.
