RE: [HumJanenge] "Right to service" legislature in bihar by nitish kumar

I donot agree. RTS should be seperate and not mixed with RTI. RTI only gives information whereas RTS should provide service.

Let this Group should appear an educated and enlightened one and no mermber or moderator should use abusive
and unparliamentary language for any body. I find members using objectionable language for information commissioners
or Chief Information Commissioners (past and present ones) in the Centre and in the States. We want 'VOICE' for the
voiceless millions of this nation through honest implementation of RTI Act, 2005.

NB: 'self publicity' includes posting contact particulars other than an email-ID..

2) No cross-posting (except in rare cases clearly marked as such).

3) No communal, sexist, racial, casteist etc message posts

In addition to regulate  the volume of emails posted to this group

1) Regulation 1(a) which is presently "Message posts to be directly relevant to RTI or democracy, accountability, transparency, corruption in India " is amended to "Message posts to be directly relevant to RTI / Right to Information".

NB: all posts pertaining to "democracy, accountability, transparency, corruption in India" may be posted to the sister group "rti4empowerment@googlegroups.com" instead.

Re: [HumJanenge] FYI

Most of us feel today clearly that RTI is Sham
Nothing but a hoodwinking ploy to fool the masses.
Such loosely created regulations, amendments, ever new procedural changes are not without a reason.
A nation of six decades experienced and seasoned tricksters are experts now to make mockery of everything and get away with it
.

Don't we feel that RTI was created on the lines that>>>

" Say Something, Project Something  but...Do Something

Non compliance of information commission order is brought to the notice of information commission , But they have not directed to provide the information or imposed penalty , In karnataka commisison most of the cases are closed by the information commissioners directing the pio to provide the information , Before providing the information the case will be closed stating that 14000 cases are pending for disposal , The PIO's will forget subsequently to provide the information as per direction of the commission , The commission is nexus between bureucrats and having soft stand
once again if we knock the door of information commission there will be no use

Dear All,

Greetings from AFD!

Pls find Attached is a RTI sent to the the Jharkhand High Court and a reply received from them. This is to inform you that the Jharkhand High Court (Right to Information) Rules,2007 are not in harmony with the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005 as seen in the reply received where they are asking for the applicant's motive behind obtaining such information - whether it is "proper and legal".

According to the RTI Act, 2005 Section 6(2) says ''an applicant making a request for information shall not be required to give any reason for requesting the information or any other personal details..........''
