Re: [IAC#RG] Alternatives to parliamentary democracy ?

Great idea - Has it been practiced (to your satisfaction) anywhere in the world even in a small scale, where we can get inspiration? Otherwise it is only utopian - just your wish

Subject: [IAC#RG] Alternatives to parliamentary democracy ?

The alternative to parliamentary democracy is people's democracy where it is the people, and not a few moneybags, who decide the destiny of the country and their own lives.

Peoples democracy is seen from the grassroots level to the top and not vice versa. Here, people are supreme and decisions are made through gram sabhas, assemblies of the people and not by invisible hands.

The aim of Peoples democracy is to overthrow feudalism and achieve independence from colonialism. It is a revolution that will bury the capitalist system and all other systems of exploitation once and for all.

"The crisis consists precisely in the fact that the old is dying and the new cannot be born; in this interregnum a great variety of morbid symptoms appear." In an era of severe austerity, rising inequalities and precarious employment, the discontent engendered is leading to morbid symptoms in the form of the rise of extreme rightwing and neo-Nazi forces. Racism, xenophobia and anti-migrant feelings are being whipped up".
