RE: [IAC#RG] PAIN OF LISTENING TO ENGLISH NEWS T V MEDIA ANCHORS

Dear Mr dutta,
We are in a situation whether we take it or leave it. Individually we feel helpless as we have become so much used to the print and video/audio news . unfortunately there is no strong civil society institutions to take on the media for the rubbish they dish out. You see a boy being maulted by a tiger and no one questions what the the photographer doing merrily clicking rather than raise a hue and cry. You have instances of two famous anchors being a part of infamous radia tapes. After an initial hue and cry they were quite rehabilitated. Media can give you full details on financials of any corporate entity. But do you find similar details for any newspaper or TV chanel?
Have fun and enjoy the show. Between media and govt. The policy is you scratch my back and I scratch yours.

These channels are all owned with sweeping stakes by global media moguls and yet all we get to see is "bizarre showdown" and "high decibel sensationalized cacophony" that is in stark contrast with the three news channels, named by you, where even the most "heart breaking" news and debates are presented with elan and poise that the situation deserves, considering the global ramifications.

However, they seem to think that they can talk on any subject whether it is economics, politics, science and technology, crime investigation, culture, foreign policy, sports, and what not. It is not an exaggeration to say that their knowledge is half baked , which is there for all to see but these anchors  do not seem to know.

With many  participants , most of whom are directly or indirectly involved in politics  and not in any way better than the anchors in their  analytical ability, the debate is marked  by lung power rather than substance. The anchor often matches the participants in the lung power, showing  no mercy for the viewers. Certainly, intelligent people with facts and figures, who want to observe decorum ,cannot have their say in full in these debates, which viewers may be eager to listen.

They put questions and when the participants  respond, they cut them and put more questions and shout so much that no one can hear what the participants  say.  These anchors do not seem to realise that they are so uncivilised in their behaviour.
