RE: [IAC#RG] IMPORTANT: IAC PUBLIC NOTICE re: Kiran Bedi

Dear Shri Roy,

It will be interesting to know that an interview was conducted in last July for the post of Chairman,Airport Economic Regulatory Authority. After a prolonged process and interview a person was selected. He was a FA for five yeras in the Ministry of Aviation and a former DGCA who tried to bring in a semblance of descipline and consequently sacked by the then minister.NDA Government does not want him to be posted due to the pressure from Ambanis and DLF.The post is lying vacant for almost a year.

Dear Friends

This election, and those past, were an Ambani versus Ambani battle.

Both brothers had it in for the Congress, Anil for the Delhi Airport
and 3G, Mukesh for the KG gas deals and other things. Its an open
secret that both made "common cause" against the Congress, but then
Anil got worried that big brother would get too powerful and cut him,
and Tina, to size. So up pops another party.

Anil has the most to lose in these Delhi elections so ADAG is pulling
out all stops to protect their monopoly assets and build a counter
force. Unfortunately his faction is not as cash rich as it once once
and his cos. had been hammered on the bourses. So his party bosses are
having to make compromises with some very unsavoury types including
from across Delhi's borders.

There is another silent agenda of the A party, ie to create capability
for massive disruption in the slums, unauthorised colonies and small
scale industries and unions. This again suits Anil's group as A party
will be well paid even if they lose to keep the mobs in control once
electricity prices are raised and raised. The bijli "mafia" will be in
A party's hands and all the bijli theft in slums, the single point
thekedars etc. and goons who rotate the B components will be A party
people.

One scenario is that Tatas keep TTPDL, Anil retains the still
profitable BSES Rajdhani and somebody like Adani gets BSES-Yamuna
along with AAP to "manage" the bijli chors. And all mafias are allowed
after 2 years to sell bijli anywhere in Delhi. The Delhi water mafia
privatisation scam is a tinder box HRA is waiting for :-)

On 12 January BJP had a 16 percent vote share lead over AAP -
something like 48% to 32% with Congress at 12%. But, as of now AAP has
pulled sharply ahead and its 39% AAP to 34% BJP with 18% to Congress
for the 70% steady voters. These are HRA's latest numbers -
discounting the swing / mercenary vote banks and uncommitted voters
who are about 30%. and essentially unpredictable till the last moment.

What we are also seeing is that Kiran Bedi's entry has done 2 things,
a massive 28% drop in "committed" BJP voters who are tending to
support AAP publicly but also a large number who are prepared to
support Congress for cash privately. Of these the BJP's UP-Biharis at
about 16% are gravitating mostly to AAP and the BJP's disgruntled
Punjabis about 12% mostly to Congress. AAP has also lost 4% of its
previous 32% to Congress. The uncommitted voters are mainly
gravitating to BJP as AAP is not able to convert uncommitted voters
at last moment and AAP is last choice for them as Congress is still #2
choice after BJP for these.

The game is still very open and as d-day approaches huge deals and all
kinds of muck is going to be in play.

Enjoy

Sarbajit
