Re: [IAC#RG] IMPOSITION OF HINDI ON NON HINDI SPEAKING STATES

We should not think of Hindi as foreign at all and just as we most eagerly want to learn other languages as French or Spanish etc, learning Hindi should be the first choice for all those not knowing !!!
Cheers,

Dear Sirs.,

Iam from South (Tamilnadu), I don't know Hindi.,  but I know even in China there are various languages & many states like India., But they also speak only one of their language as primary language for official., still they don't speak English as official, They are unity & Growing super power nation in the world,   hence I think personally Mr. Modi was perfect, because we have to respect one "BHARAT" instead spiriting between languages & Civilizations, It only matters the representation he did commonly on behalf of all citizens of country as citizen of India & as a supreme leader of "BHARAT" & the main thing we have to see what he spoke & Deepth of the speech. & How it reached the other leaders. Even if he speak in English many other nation leader only use translation service to understand.,  because they don't know English.,

Gentlemen's we are moving forward to supreme power with good leadership,  pls don't split nation between languages, Whatever you say English is foreign but Hindi is 100% Indian & Most spoken language in the country !!..

BE INDIA TRUE INDIAN, JAI BHARAT.

I also agree with Mr Venkatraman. This is a very relevant question why Hindi will get advantage over other languagaes. There are 26 languages which are constitutionally accepted. All should get equal advantage. We have no hatred against Hindi or any other language, but we love primarily our mother tongue. I personally, can speak quite good Hindi. I have learnt it myself. But if I see there is an official attempt to elevate Hindi by suppressing other languages, then, may be, one day I may start hating Hindi. According to constitution, Hindi is not the national language of India. It is only a link language. People should remember it. Any forceful imposition of Hindi will help in disintegration of the unique character of this country. Lal Bahadur Shastri was wise enough to understand the feelings of the people. Mr Narendra Modi is also wise enough to realize that.

IMPOSITION  OF  HINDI  ON  NON  HINDI  SPEAKING  STATES

It is surprising that those in charge of policy making in NDA  government do not understand the intensity of the anger and frustration  amongst the people in the non Hindi states due to the subtle attempts of Modi government to gradually impose Hindi.

The genuine fear of the people in the non Hindi speaking states is that they would be reduced to second class citizens in the country  if Hindi would be imposed , as those speaking Hindi will get distinct advantage over the non Hindi speaking people at the national level.

Mr. Naredndra Modi does not seem to be aware of the  intense and popular anti Hindi agitation in non Hindi speaking states particularly in Tamil Nadu, when Mr. Lal Bahadur Shastri was the Prime Minister.  Schools and colleges had to remain closed for around three months in Tamil Nadu due to anti Hindi  protest by the students. Finally, Mr. Shastri had to give an assurance that Hindi would not be made national language so long as non Hindi speaking people would not want it. The situation has not much changed as far as the imposition of Hindi is concerned.

Today, India has enough problems and there is no feelings of difference in the country on  language issue. Mr. Narendra Modi  should not create new issues by trying to impose Hindi.

Even today, many people in non Hindi speaking states , particularly in Tamil Nadu , feel like aliens as they do not understand Mr. Modi speaking Hindi everywhere without any translators. When he spoke in Hindi to the school children on Teacher's Day , lakhs of school students in non Hindi speaking states felt left out and wondered  as to whether the Prime Minister belong to  Hindi knowing people only.
