Re: [HumJanenge] Mah SIC wants state to limit RTI pleas

It is against the constitutional law under Article 21. Right to Information is to get the required information for the matters which are essential. Even for the same application some times the PIO ask that that question is different to the one for which information was being asked and demands fresh fee of Rs. 10/- This strategy is applied to not give information in time and the applicant gets discouraged to ask for it again.

dear sirs,
logic to limit the appeal outrageous.
if, number of similar appeals is filed by one person. Same can be disposed  in minimum time, by citing the same facts of the similar appeal> by the limit, SIC is hiding his incompetence to decide the matter faster.

Information chief wants state to limit Right to Information pleas

MUMBAI: At a time when there is intense debate on changes introduced by the state government to the Right to Information (RTI) Act, the state information commission has recommended curbs on the number of appeals a person can file.

Arguing that multiple appeals and applications filed by the same individuals were hampering disposal of the RTI appeals and delaying discharge of information, acting state information commissioner Bhaskar Patil has asked the government to frame rules to limit the number of appeals a person was eligible to.
