Dear Venkatraman and Ash,
As a principle, not to give or take bribe and give sacrifice for upholding the truth, justice, fairness in administration and rule of law is ideal.
When I land at Delhi Airport there is prepaid taxi service but if you come out on the road for taking an auto, rarely it will ply on meter. 90% of autorikshaw and taxi drivers in Delhi refuse to down the meter.
Environment degradation is rampant everywhere and illegal constructions is as if the rule.
Seeing illegalities, malafide administration and injustice and not fighting for correcting the malaise is also a kind of corruption.
Under the circumstances taking such pledge is meaningless.
On 5th March 2012 I met Arvind Kejariwal, on 6th March to Prashant Bhushan and on 19th Nov. 2012 to Kiran Bedi, Sunita Godara and their colleagues and told them that corruption is a wide and bit vague term. I suggested them that IAC must have its own four wings:
1. Judicial Reforms.
2. Police Reforms.
3. Electoral Reforms.
4. Administrative Reforms.
I told them that unless this was done and seriously pursued, no purpose would be served. They all know that ours is the only NGO in the country spearheading the movement of judicial reforms under the name of SAVE JUDICIARY-SAVE NATION. We offered to work jointly with them. Kejariwal and Prashant said that they would consider our proposal. Kiran and Sunita overwhelmly supported and advised their members to accept the proposal. We are waiting for further intimation.
If you feel like working together, please contact me or write us back.
With regards.
